A new 3-form entry primary school is needed for Bishop's Cleeve. The County Council has proposed provision on the existing Cleeve School site. The Parish Council is strongly opposed to this option.

The SLP is intended to provide an overarching planning strategy, creating cross-boundarypolicies that will cover the whole area in addition to local policies within each local authority. A public consultation on the Strategic and Local Plan (SLP) is now open for feedback. The initial issues and options consultation will run until 12th March 2024 and will consist of drop-in events, on-line workshops on different themes and anon-line questionnaire. Information for all of these is available on the SLP website. Please visit https://strategiclocalplan.org, to learn more about the plan, submit your ideas and complete the questionnaire. Public drop-in events start next week, with the first being held at the Regent Arcade Shopping Centre on February 6th from 10.00 to 15.00.
If you have any news about Bishop's Cleeve or would like an event or activity added to the website, please email us with details. We may also be able to display your flyer on our Parish notice boards. Priority of display is given to events taking place in the Bishop's Cleeve Community Building, Parish Office and Sports Field, followed by charity and community events benefiting the residents of the Parish.
