Homelands Community Building Update

The Parish Council is very disappointed that despite many discussions with Tewkesbury Borough, their planners have refused to reduce the amount of expensive and high maintenance landscaping, the subject of a recent planning application, that they require on the Homelands Community Building site.

The Council has worked closely with the developers, Vistry, and the Borough Council over many years to deliver this building for the community ensuring that fundamental issues were addressed. However, the Borough Council’s continued refusal to reduce the amount of landscaping required, that alone would cost the community many thousands of pounds every year to maintain, as well as the other elements that have increased projected running costs, has resulted in the Parish Council concluding that they cannot, with the financial interests of Bishop’s Cleeve residents paramount, take on this additional facility.
