Bishop’s Cleeve is holding its Christmas Lights Switch on Event on Saturday 18th November. The event attracts thousands of local residents to the centre of the village. This year the event will have a stage with free entertainment, open air market, food vendors and activities on The Green including a Father Christmas and Reindeer. The event will be free to attend. The craft market will be held in the car park of Cleeve Hall (Vistry). We want to make sure attendees have a wide selection of arts,crafts, gifts, games, entertainment, activities and food and refreshment stallsto browse and purchase goods from. Links to the forms can be found on clicking the link below. All forms must be returned with the relevant supporting documents to admin@bishopscleeveparishcouncil.gov.uk by the 18th October.

Community Connexions are looking for volunteer drivers to enable them to help more members of our community. The charity help many local residents by providing vital transport to people. This helps people retain their independence and tackle loneliness from social and rural isolation. Connexions rely on volunteers to help deliver their services and without volunteers they wouldn’t be able to take people shopping, to visit their loved ones or to health appointments. They are in urgent need of volunteer drivers in the local area. Expenses are paid and you can give as little or as much time as you have. Some volunteers give a few hours a week, others are nearer full time. Interested? Bishops Cleeve Parish Council are pleased to announce that the Finlay Way Play Park is now open after its recent redevelopment works. We hope you all enjoy the play park.
